Communicator
allows you to see if any of your bookmarked sites contain new information
before you open them. Communicator searches the sites and indicates which,
if any, have changed since the last time you visited.

Printing
bookmarks in Netscape Communicator has always been difficult, one member
of a tech list I belong to sent in this innovative approach.

Open your
bookmark window. . .
-
Click . . . .Bookmark
Icon on the tool
bar.

Select. . .Edit
Bookmarks

Select
all the bookmarks in the bookmark window. . .
-
CTRL + A ----------
Will select all the bookmarks.

CTRL + C ----------
Copies everything highlighted to the clipboard.

Then open
a new email message to compose. . .
-
(CTRL
+ M
is the quickest way), and paste these in an outgoing message addressed
to yourself.
NOTE:
The
resulting incoming message can be printed or otherwise saved. (It will
have your bookmarks broken down into named folders but no link names just
the url's.)

Saving
Bookmarks. . .

in the open edit bookmark window. . .

then Select.

As
Save your bookmarks in another
place other than your Netscape\User file. You can add a date to the name
saved, then it is easier to know how long it's been since you last saved
them. If you add bookmarks everyday you should save them at least once
a week.

Opens your bookmarks folder for editing.

CTRL + D ----------
Adds an open URL window to your bookmarks.

Will select all the bookmarks.

CTRL + C ----------
Copies everything highlighted to the clipboard.

Below there are four different
ways to pre-select which bookmarks you wish
to update.

(1) Select
one item in the edit bookmark window. . .

PRESS.
. .SHIFT + DOWN
ARROW
-
and as long as you keep clicking
the arrow it will keep highlighting bookmarks.

Use the UP
ARROW to reverse
the last selection.
-
(2) Select
the last item in the edit bookmark window. . .
-
PRESS.
. .HOME Key
+ SHIFT
-
and it will select everything
above it.
-
(3) Select
the first item in the edit bookmark window. . .
-
PRESS.
. .END Key +
SHIFT
-
and it will select everything
below it.
-
(4) Select
one item in the edit bookmark window. . .PRESS. .
.CTRL + A
-
and it will select everything
in the window.
