      Hi, my name is April. I am a mostly retired 56-year-old homemaker who loves to spend her spare time surfing the Internet. No I shouldn't say that, I read and sew as much as I surf. I also love to cook and eat, maybe that's why I have so many recipe links on my site, as you will find when you visit there.

      Maybe I should explain a little about my nickname Nana April. Since I have no children and therefore no grand children just how did I come up with Nana. Well most of my friends have children and I have been adopted by many of them as a surrogate Granny. Since I didn't feel like a Granny the name Nana was suggested.

      It is a name very dear to me as we all called Mom that almost from the first day she became a Grand Mother to my sister's oldest daughter Laurie. My sister went on to give my parents two more beautiful grand daughters Sherry and Amy. And now my sister's daughters have given her five beautiful grandchildren Nicholas, Sarah, Lauren, Megan and Robert Jr..  <:) I just had to mention them all.
